Blog 02 The time of interaction design
blogIn the era of traditional media, people mainly learn about information through newspapers. At that time, the mainstream design of designers might be newspapers, posters, and magazines. Now, the development of Internet technology has promoted the integration of the Internet and cultural industries. Mobile phones and computers have become a new channel to understand information, and a design called interactive design has emerged from this. Figure 1 shows the proportion of people using media sources from 2013 to 2020. Figure 1 shows traditional media has gradually declined. On the contrary, television and online have taken the leading positions.

Interaction design is the design of digital products and system service environments. Its purpose is to explore the interaction between users and products by studying the characteristics of users, understanding their goals and expectations.
Interaction design is the cornerstone of visual design, and interaction design is the framework of visual design to better guide users to use products. The visual design includes interface color specification, interface font specification, and interface icon specification. The interface layout method is an important part of the user interface. A good interface layout helps users quickly obtain interface information, efficiently perform visual searches, and complete related operations, and strengthen users' positive awareness of the system.
Interaction designers need to design products from multiple perspectives. Interaction design will comprehensively consider factors such as the user who uses the product, the user's purpose, and the environment in which the product is used. Designers need to learn from practice and academics. In universities, the knowledge that designers learn is limited, but it is also necessary.
Designers can find many good interactive design examples in Dribbble. Figure 2 is about a Tasty Burger App. Compared to traditional ordering methods, there are millions of ways to customize your favorite burger. Moreover, when you order goods on your smartphone, users can choose their favorite ingredients on the small screen. This UI concept of the "Delicious Burger" app simplifies the ordering experience by storing ingredients by type. The app design is convenient and diverse, and users can quickly customize the burger they want through the app.

An interaction designer needs to accumulate more knowledge and participate in more practice. A project needs to be continuously improved.
